Sam A. Winn & Associates, Architects, P.C. is a professional corporation located in Springfield Missouri, with Sam A. Winn as President and Gary Barbee as Partner. The firm was founded in 1977, and has over 33 years of experience providing all services related to architectural design, land planning, master planning and interior design with architectural registrations in the states of Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Colorado, Tennessee, Minnesota, Texas and Florida.

This firm consists of a staff of nine professionals consisting of 3 Registered Architects, 2 Drs. of Education, a Intern Architect, Administrative Staff, 1 Technology Manager and a Chief Financial Officer/Office Manager. We have complete computer aided drafting capabilities and can provide a professional service to many different clients in various stages of project development while fulfilling the objectives in which we were commissioned.

Since 1977, Sam A. Winn & Associates has completed over 800 educational projects including: New School High Schools, New Middle Schools, New Elementary Schools, Vo-Tech Facilities, New Maintenance Facilities, New Athletic Facilities, Additions and Alterations to Existing School Facilities, Roof Renovations as well as others for our clients. We have completed 3 Vocational Facilities in the past 5 years.

This firm fully subscribes to the Standards of Ethical Practice of the American Institute of Architects and all staff members are expected to be familiar with these standards and to conduct themselves accordingly. We are a corresponding committee member of Architects in Education, and Associate Members of MSBA, MASA, MoASBO and MARE organizations in the State of Missouri. We are members of the U.S Green Building Council and have staff certified LEED AP. We are members of the International Code Council and have work extensively with local building authorities.

Philosophy

The objective of this firm is to provide professional services to our clients and project partners. This firm strives to achieve design excellence, to produce high-quality projects within budgetary limitations, and to conduct itself in an efficient, professional manner. To accomplish this, we work under a team concept, with owners as partners and the following professionals as team members: Associate Architect, Project Manager, and additional staff as needed. It is the desire of the Principals to expose each member of the team to all facets of the project, thereby increasing his/her knowledge and his/her value to the firm.

Qualifications

Sam A. Winn & Associates, Architects, P.C. has been serving clients throughout the State of Missouri since 1977, many of which we have served repeatedly through numerous projects. The varied academic backgrounds and experiences of our staff provide an excellent base of resources to draw from for projects tailored to client needs.

We have the proven capability of working in harmony with the client, consultant, and contractor. Our firm has the technical proficiency to provide our clients with a project which is functional, durable, aesthetically pleasing, economical and energy efficient.
